Park City Jazz Summit

June 15-22. You are invited to join us for the debut of the annual Park City Jazz Summit being held in the stunningly beautiful mountain resort of Park City, Utah. The Jazz Summit is an annual retreat for jazz educators, musicians, students, enthusiasts, and industry members from around the world. The Park City Jazz Summit will be comprised of a series of specialized workshops staggered over an 7-day period encompassing two weekends and includes a series of concerts, lectures and gallery exhibitions open to the public. The Music School's Summer Jam Camp

 


Prospector Square Lodge, Park City, UT
June 15-21

Presented by The Music School, Jam Camp 2008 is an intensive, week-long camp for young musicians of all ability levels interested in Rock, Jazz, Funk, Blues, Hip-Hop, and other modern styles. Under the direction of Caleb Chapman, founder of The Music School, this unique format presents musicians ages 13-18 with an unrivaled experience in performing, recording, and the music industry.

In addition to nightly faculty concerts, Jam Camp culminates with performances by all campers on the final day. Each camper will also receive a professional studio recording of his/her band from the week.

Savor The Summit

June 20-21, 2008. A new event this year created by the Park City Jazz Foundation, in partnership with the Park City Restaurant Association, to be held in conjunction with the Jazz Summit. This culinary and musical collaboration will host two main events, The Grande Table, and The Grande Picnic. More information by clicking here.

Friday, June 20th : Join Park City dining afficionados at the largest dinner table ever set in Park City, The Grande Table, set right down the middle of Historic Main Street. Dinner served al fresco by particpating* local restaurants. Jazz music to fill the light summer night with musical performances on the street and on the Main Stage after dinner. Come listen to the music, join the Grande Table, or shop late on Park City's historic Main Street.

Saturday, June 21st: Relax in City Park at the Grande Picnic. You bring the blanket, we'll provide the live jazz and the culinary delectables from local specialty food purveyors and producers. Sample the best there is to offer in micro-produced foods and sustainably grown products prepared as the ultimate in picnic fare. And you will also savor the sounds of one of superior jazz acts that the Jazz Summit will bring to town. This ticketed food, wine, and jazz event is sure to become an annual favorite to locals and visitors alike.
